Crafting an Axe for melee is close to impossible, DO NOT DO IT. Sell your corpses for money or if SSF like me just get a 30% qual axe base and craft that.
If you're set on Necropolis crafting for melee I'd highly recommend just trying to hit a fracture from it using fracture corpses.
