Hey fellas!

I want to showcase my best build by far, eclipsing my last season's poison spark by a huge margin in both tank and damage. It is currently in the first place DPS wise on ninja across all Trickster SBoI builds, with no xDD business to pad the numbers. But first thing first...

POB: https://pobb.in/zS-UIhID6WD3

Simu 30: https://youtu.be/6SbOriHEufI

Uber Maven: https://youtu.be/0hMEOZoHVm0

(excuse Ziz's stream in the corner, couldn't get window capture to work)

Thing I did with this build

  • 40/40 without buying carries, all ubers
  • ripped Sanctum in half. You have enough damage to skip Lycia's red lightning unless you get both less damage and more enemy HP, even then it barely tickles you
  • leveled to 100 by doing wisped T16 with beyond, abyss and deli mirror

Pros

  • extremely "mapping tanky", doesn't die in whisped 8mod T16 or Simu30. Capped spell block, around 42% attack block, 50% evade without Grace, 90% crit reduction, curse immunity, 1K ES overleach, Polymath instantly caps you in maps.
  • 100% damage uptime. Brands, a.k.a. better totems, do all the work while you are free to run around and dodge stuff
  • can be started on a "budget" of only MB and uncorrupted uniques, I was farming wisped T11 to get cash to buy a precursor. If doing a budget version, I would highly advice on using a granite flask, without precursor phys reduction it's going to be sketchy with only about 9k armour
  • very versatile. You can switch SB to any lightning spell and still have good damage. Or swap in PBoD to get around 150mil singletarget (though it plays like ass, IMO)
  • good clear with Oriath's End. Not the very best but fast enough and enjoyable
  • mostly uniques, so build doesn't take a lot of crafting. Can be a pro or a con, depending on how tired are you of crafting atm, or how proficient you are with it
  • near instant Flame Dash recovery thanks to the Badge and lots of charges

Cons

  • damage projection is not the best, you won't be offscreening anything anytime soon. Though that doesn't matter that much with this level of tank
  • no phasing is annoying. You can fix it with TWWT, but those tend to be pricey
  • bleed can be annoying as well. Never died to it but occasionally getting a huge bleed in juiced maps is grating. Only option I can see here is lock-corrupting precursor for bleed immunity
  • precursor is the single most impactful thing in terms of both damage and phys tank, and those can be rare and expensive. Mine set me back 300div

Crafting Rare Pieces

For starters, you can just look on trade for a decent Sadist Garb with most EV/ES and suppression that is within your budget, same with Murder Mitts. Crafting is for minmaxing those pieces, or for SSF (though this build is, unfortunately, not really SSF friendly, if only cause of precursors).

If you're at the point where you want craft those pieces, you need to decide on your budget. I didn't count, so it's hard to say precisely, but my chest definitely cost me more than 200div. Keep in mind though that it is really minmaxed and divined to almost perfection, which means that you can spend anywhere between a couple div and 200+, depending on how much are you willing to settle.

I am going to be describing the steps to craft minmaxed variants, since that is way more complex than settling for something good enough. Feel free skip the steps like Tailoring Orbs and perfecting eldrich implicits if your budget is below 200div+

  1. Acquiring the bases. You want perfect (100% percentile) Sadist Garb ilvl86+ and perfect Murder Mitts ilvl85+. Buying on trade is simplest, but if you want/need to farm those, blight ravaged maps with tripple silver anoint work pretty well. Neversink filter highlights perfect high-level bases by default, but it never hurts to double check your filter. An alternative would be spamming sacred orbs on imperfect bases.
  2. Alt-spamming. After getting a base, or two, or a dozen, we scour+transmute them and proceed to alt spam till we get max roll suppress (gloves are different and specific for this build since we lack strength, there you spam Rage essences till max roll, since our base can not roll strength naturally). Then we aug/regal/exalt until we have 4 mods on the item (annul the gloves if essence adds more than 4 mods).
  3. Slam a fracturing orb and pray. If didn't hit desirable stat, go to step 1. This is obviously unrealistic in SSF, since getting multiple fracturing orbs is a tall order. Thankfully, it doesn't even matter that much for the chest, you'll still be able to get max suppress without fracturing by sacrificing max int roll. Gloves are tougher and you might need to settle for something decent, cause of mandatory strength from essence.
  4. Tailoring orbs (optional, can be very expensive). Now that you have a nice, fractured chest, might as well tailor orb it. BiS is what my chest has, which is 12% increased defences, 50% reduced res. It's not the most common mod, so you might want to settle for a very common 8% inc def, depending on your luck and budget.
  5. Perfecting eldrich implicits. It's important to do this steps before crafting affixes if you want to have "item sells for more" implicit for possible future lock-corruption. Pick two eldrich mods that you like, you can get either 6/4 (Perfect/Exquisite) or 5/5. This step is pretty expensive and RNG heavy, here you can settle for something like 2/2 for a huge cost saving. Be wary though that it's important that Eater of Worlds will end up dominant if you want to perfect the suffixes.
  6. Start by slamming T3 eldrich ichors till +block. Then I apply 1 T4 exquisite eldrich ember and slam an orb of conflict. If elder mod gets elevated, reapply T4 ember and slam conflict untill you get perfect +10% block (or whatever Eater mod you chose). If Eater mod ever falls below T3, reapply T3 ichors becore slamming conflict orbs, since that should on average be cheaper.
  7. After you have your perfect Eater implicit, get a bunch of T4 exquisite eldrich embers and spam till aura effect. Steps 5-7 are the same for gloves, only thing that changes is types of implicits (and you can easily go for T3 embers on gloves, since Exarch mod is not that important to get to high tier).
  8. Socket a guilded fossil into a primitive resonator and slam your item once. It'll add "item sells for more" mod. If you try to change your eldrich implicits afterwards, it will remove the mode, that's why it is important to get them perfect first.
  9. It's time to slam hundreds of Dense fossils into our items. What we're looking for is T1 +eva/es and T1 increased eva/es for chest and three eva/es related prefixes on gloves (feel free to settle for T1/T1/T2, I sure did). If chest gets filled prefixes, yolo annul and pray.
  10. Block something on the chest by crafting a suffix (I blocked +str/dex) and repeatedly slam eldrich exalts and annuls untill you get T1 int (or a T1 suppress in the case of gloves, or if you don't have suppress fractured on chest). IMPORTANT: use only ELDRICH currency, normal exalt will fill prefixes, normal anul with remove prefixes and brick the craft, forcing you to start over from the previous step.
  11. Divining time! Slam divine orbs until you are happy with the prefixes, craft "prefixes cannot be changed" and divine the suffixes.
  12. Apply final crafts. On chest it's phys taken as fire/lightning, on gloves it's +30int.
  13. Congrats! Your pieces are almost done. It's time to 6-link the chest (hope you didn't do that before tailoring, it can bork 6 links), 4-link the gloves and take both to Hillock for 30% quality (alternatively you can use perfect fossils at step 8) and to Vorici for 6 and 4 white sockets respectively.

The difference between good-enough rares and perfect ones it 4K+ ES and 5.4ES, 90% lucky suppress and honest to god 100% suppress. It won't make or break the build, but it will surely elevate your survivability. It has literally no bearing on DPS though (gloves implicits excluded).

PS: if it upsets you that chest has only 2 suffixes, hope you have hundreds of locks, cause it's the only way to get a 3-rd suffix that is not some random trash. Though if you manage to do it, chest becomes mirror-tier. If I find another interesting build to continue playing the league, I might try to go for it and put the chest into Settlers shop for free mirror service. Off course, if you for some reason want to mirror my chest as is, I'm happy to do it for you for free.

Afterword

So far, this is the most comfy and powerful build I have ever played. I would place it at rank A in my made up scale of build power, with S being armour stackers and such multi-mirror beasts.

Lastly I would love to hear people ideas for a build that can surpass ~~metal gear~~ this build. I consider this one pretty much finished and all upgrades I can think of are very minor, like lock-corrupting rare pieces.

I considered armour stacking, but it doesn't look that appealing to me. It only begins, so to speak, in the mirror territory and I love builds with more gradual ramp up in power.

I also made a cross between CaptainLance table destroyer and SteelMage splitting steel char. It was a bit underwhelming. Tankiness is not that great, since if you don't go all the way to table destroyer levers of zDPS with poison, crit mitigation is very difficult to get. Damage is not out of this world either. Crafting gear was fun though, sold a +5 max res shield I made for it for 300d :)

Guides/POBs are not mandatory, since I get most of the fun creating my own builds, so just skills/mechanic/interactions ideas would be highly appreciated. I have about 440d in my stash and farming more is not a problem.

Otherwise I'll probably gamba all my cash on Uber Maven and end the league.
