LS Svalinn Warden FAQ
0 Stormshroud VS Ancestral Vision
Stormshroud is objectively better and easier to get ailment immune with, just roll for chance to avoid being shocked on boots/belt (using Essence of Torment/Boot implicits
Can also get chance to avoid being shocked on Abyss Jewels
This build only uses Ancestral Vision because we didn't ever find a Stormshroud in our PL :(
1 Dagger vs Claw and Enchant
Dagger costs 2 points on the tree, but has increased damage and an excellent Enchant: Melee Hits Fortify
Base: Sai for Increased Block Chance. Can use another dagger for increased damage (Amusher - best attack speed/crit balance, Gutting Knife for better base crit but slower base attack speed)
If you have a crazy good Claw or Sword, don't worry, you can keep using it happily
Sword: I haven't had a chance to test 2H or 1H swords, but if you have found a setup you like, stick with it
1H Swords have an interesting +2.0m to melee strike range
2H Swords have a crazy strong 50-100% effect of Elemental Modifiers Enchant (Expensive as hell and you won't be able to use Svalinn)
2 Yoke of Suffering VS The Anvil
Yoke of Suffering is absurd damage but we lose a lot of block chance. If you love The Anvil, you can probably get a nice double corrupted one with stuff like Chance to Block, Attack Speed, Ele Damage with Attacks)
3 Getting More Block Chance with Yoke of Suffering
Using a Sai with Fortify Enchant allows us to get Chance to Block as an Eater of Worlds implicit on our chest instead of Fortify
Bench Crafted Prefix: Chance to Block Attack or Spell Damage (different crafts).
Anoints: Check below
Svalinn with Corrupted Chance to Block (Expensive)
4 Anoint: Very Flexible
Testudo: Life on Block, 10% block chance
As the Mountain: More Max Block, better block chance
Safeguard: Max Spell Block, Spell Block Chance (I must double check this is the best spell block node)
Sovereignty: Reservation
There are so many options. Use what works best for you.
5 Auras:
Arctic Armour: Use this again when you push for XP and levels. It's good defensively, but not that practical or useful if you're mapping fast and dont care about a few rips here and there
Herald of Ice: Use this instead of Arctic Armour
6 Uber Bossing Setup:
Auras: Anger, Haste, Herald of Ice, Tempest Shield. Precision (Level 20) and Clarity (Level 5) linked with Arrogance
Flasks: 2x Life Flasks with Increased Recovery/Reduced Recovery Rate (Can Harvest enchant for Max Charges), Suffix: Bleed CB Immunity, and Increased Recovery on Low Life
Utility Flask: Silver Flask - Charge on Crit, Charge Recovery, Reduced Charges per use
Uber Uber Elder: Granite Flask/Basalt Flask instead of Silver
Pantheon: Arakaali (UPGRADE IT), Ryslatha (UPGRADE IT)
Note: If you go Arakaali, make sure you have 100% chance to avoid being stunned (Tattoos, chest craft Avoid Stun/Avoid Ailments)
Belt: Tides of Time. 3 Life/3 Utility. This is super great - it lets you sit in degen puddles (except final phase Sirus), super comfortably, and even tank Uber Shaper Beams. 20% Fertile Catalyst
7 Mapping Setup
If you're pushing for XP, use Arctic Armour over Herald of Ice, Determination, Grace, Tempest Shield and then Clarity + Precision as described before
If you're Lvl 100, or blasting and don't care about XP: Drop Grace for Haste, use Herald of Ice over Arctic Armour
Pantheon: Arakaali, Burning Ground Immunity if farming Red, otherwise Ralakesh is great
8 Nimis
This ring is absolutely disgustingly powerful - it actually more than doubles our damage and is absolutely worth the price
Nimis allows us to drop Returning Projectiles Support, allowing us to add in a different support gem
Check your PoB to see which gem would be best to add in but it will most likely be Awakened Elemental Damage with Attacks Level 5, but check Volatility, Awakened Cold Damage too
If you don't have Nimis, that's fine - you can keep using a rare ring which puts way less pressure on your other stats
9 Mapping Regex:
Blasting Regex for T16s: "!tal d|gen|ur$|ail"
Safe Regex for Leveling: "!tal d|gen|ur$|ail|non|s rec|eec|tip|o al|hered"
10 Tier 17 Map Mods to Avoid:
Annoying:
Avoid Ailments = Annoying especially if you have increased effect of map mods. ZDPS mode
Enemies have Chance to Block = annoying if you don't have "Enemies can't block" mastery
Reduced Damage From Crits = annoying if scaling map mods - ZDPS mode
Reduced Action Speed = Annoying as hell/Don't Run
Drowning Orbs = extremely annoying/deadly
No damage every 3 seconds = annoying
Problematic Depending on Build:
Enemies Poison = Potentially deadly if your chaos res is bad
Cannot be Leeched From = Problem if you don't have flat life gain on Claw
Shaper Touched Mobs = potentially deadly if you aren't paying attention
Phys as Extra = potentially deadly, very deadly if Chaos Res isn't capped and you get Phys as Extra Chaos
Deadly - Reroll Instantly:
Volatiles = Death
Reduced chance to block/Cannot Block = death
Sawblades = Most likely death
Reduced Recovery/Cannot Regen = Annoying, can be deadly if your life flask is empty
Ele Reflect = Death
Marked for Death = Annoying/deadly
Elemental Penetration = Scary and probably deadly
Impale = Deadly
Exarch ground degens = annoying/deadly
Reduced Max Res = potentially deadly
11 Massive Thread of Hope
If you have a great Lethal Pride where Aspect of the Lynx, Weapon Artistry, Quickstep, even Perfectionist have good Lethal Pride bonuses, it's worth putting in
How to Fit it in:
1. Drop Leader of the Pack and get the reservation elsewhere (Enlighten, Essence of Loathing, Reservation on Helmet)
2. If you go Hits Cant be Evaded, you can drop the Accuracy Wheel
3. Multishot: Based take - if you don't have a good Lethal Pride node on this and dont need the Mastery, remove this whole wheel, especially if you're using Sniper's Mark
4. Check the Pathing around Revenge of the Hunted
5. Go Primeval Force on the RIGHT SIDE, not the left side. Remove the points for Forces of Nature, but allocate Forces of Nature
12 Large Thread of Hope
I didn't ever find one of these so couldn't ever test it, but the Large Cluster setup felt great. If you tried this and liked it, keep it! Otherwise go for the Cluster setup
13 Forbidden Flesh/Flame
Master Surgeon: This is amazing with Tides of Time and essentially solves DoTs. Don't break your brain trying to fit this in, but it's great for Ubers
Flasks: IMPORTANT: Eternal Life Flask with increased life recovery/reduced recovery rate prefix
14 Hits Cant be Evaded Craft
Pretty good and frees up pressure on Accuracy, but I didn't ever struggle with being accuracy capped
I am using it because my Recombinator had an open prefix and this was the best option
15 Weapon Enchant
Dagger/Claw: For damage, just go for the Lightning/Cold/Fire damage craft
Dagger: Melee Hits Fortify - this is great and frees up an implicit on our chest
16 Watcher's Eye Mods
Grace: Evade is Sick,
Precision Attack Speed/Crit Multi, Attack Damage, Flask Charge on Crit
Determination Block, flat armour, reduced crits, PDR
Vitality: Flask Recovery
Anger: Crit Multi
PoB: https://pobb.in/u/Lolcohol/3My_lvm74pwi
The Lightning Strike Warden with Svalinn is the greatest build I have ever made and is capable of doing all content in Path of Exile 3.25 with ease. Whether you're looking for an Uber Bosser Build, a T17 Mapper Build, a Wave 15 Simulacrum Farmer Build, the LS Warden can do it all. Massive damage, massive defence, this is the most well-rounded beast of a build in PoE 3.25
