Single target damage is a bit lacking, but the clear speed and defense are fairly decent. The Hit DPS shown in POB is kinda missleading, real DPS is at most like half of it I guess. Doing a 100% fire conversion type, probably not the best case here but I just wanna try out this skill anyway after failing to put up a Sire of Shards build. The Kineticist mercenary is just a more versatile type and easier to gear, for extra curses, cull, endurance charge generation and cover enemies in ash. Currently I just use Steelskin as a bandaid fix to remove bleed.
