Salutations Exile,
I wanted to share my lancing steel deadeye character with you all.
PoB off the jump: https://pobb.in/Pe07uCafpeMO
General Overview
Damage: Unbelievable, feels higher than the POB
Defenses: Strong on play style alone. General mapping you won't find an issue with. It is all pretty easy stuff. I run 250-350% increased quantity wandering path altar/harvest farms. Even with several blue altar downsides I die once every 5 maps (I take all the quant altars etc.) You need to dodge shit.
Style: I think the play style of lancing steel is arguably the best attack based style in the game. You can play safe at range when needed, and absolutely POP THE FUCK OFF if you get into melee range. The sustained nature of lancing steel is so smooth as you just throw your steel shit everywhere and keep moving. The addition of vengeant cascade smooths out clear really nicely. However I really don't know how to quantify it on bosses since the projectiles split from snipers mark and return to me in a straight line. I'd estimate 20-35% of returning projectiles hit the boss so you can add 15-20% damage on top of the POB since those projectiles lose the close range bonuses etc.
Budget: This can 100% be a starter (working on it in SSF) but the current iteration is probably 50 div or so. IDK exactly as I crafted basically everything except one ring. Still have improvements to make in the belt and boots primarily but I honestly haven't seen the need as the char dumpsters everything anyway. I have an onslaught on hit ring I am working to craft but it isn't quite there yet. With onslaught we will be pushing 120 mil dps on our big goes (vaal haste).
Final Notes: This is the best build I have personally ever made or played. It feels good in every piece of content. Ubers can be tricky with no regen so you have to play pretty well honestly but the bosses take so much damage that you don't need to play well for very long.
Would love to get the communities feedback and any improvements y'all might suggest I would appreciate.
Edit: I gambled 2 apothecaries and got a mageblood. I will likely retool the build around it.
