Defenses are courtesy of CrouchingTuna, I nabbed the defenses he stacked for his Chieftain MF, they work exceptionally well. Ofc I have lots to fix, especially bleed is annoying, I just threw together what I had lying around to test this.
In general the idea is to abuse Cast When Stunned, it has a 0.1s cooldown (for reference, cwc has 0.15s) and has the unique ability that it can trigger any and all spells linked to cws supports. Each spell will roll the % trigger chance individually and all the spells that succeed that roll are triggered at the same time. So in theory you can stack up to 21 spells (by my count) with cws and have a chance to trigger all of them from a single stunning hit.
I did initial tests to confirm this is true, and it is. I simply slapped on a cws linked with a bunch of spells and searched for single enemies in acts that could stun me.
I will build upon this idea further, I am already having lots of fun with this concept. I plan to use it to farm juiced T16 league mechanic maps, initial tests are very promising. Plans I have so far:
Ditch Annihilating Light, the res is very annoying, instead I'll go power charge stacking. Problem with that is that I can't really drop Defiance of Destiny for Badge of the Brotherhood, but according to my pob power charge stacking is already more dmg than Annihilating Light even without Badge of the Brotherhood.
Occultist doesn't offer much tbh, might go Elementalist, maybe Assassin, maybe Inquisitor. But I could even see a Scion with Unleashed Potential being nice for this (the end charges help against phys a lot).
Need more phys taken as ele/chaos, need to fix attribute requirements, curse resistance, more life rolls (I think i can get maybe 3500-4000 life), stack more max res and maybe get Melding of the Flesh (would more res cap problems though, might skip it).
Furthermore I need to lower my es, I already don't get stunned sometimes. I think i will go Agnostic, but then I couldn't generate Inspiration charges anymore. Will probably go for Lifetap supports instead of Inspiration supports, but I think I'd need a lot more life regen for that. Going for Inspiration supports makes it pretty rough on mana regen anyways, I mean i could get another 1% red mana cost from somewhere, but then Inspiration charge generation becomes a little wonky and difficult, so I would lose their dmg multiplier.
Oh and before anybody says this is a Mageblood only build: the core principles are easy to achieve even without Mageblood, it just makes things easier. Just look at CrouchingTuna's Chieftain, defenses are basically identical. You can also just chuck out MF gear for actual damage/defense gear. So no Mageblood needed, at all. There may very well even be better belts for this build.
