Zizaran's Notes

Volatile Dead = VD Detonate Dead = DD Why Inquisitor over Necromancer or Assassin? + Largest Max Hit Pool + Best Recovery with Hybrid Regen + Ignore Resistances -> Necromancer has the best multi-hit mitigation, QoL, and EHP due to max block. However, it has the lowest damage due to non-crit until a lategame transition towards Leadership's Price. -> Assassin is the fastest and has comparable damage with Inquisitor and has better multi-hit mitigation than Inquisitor. The inaccessibility of Elusive with the removal of No Witnesses makes Assassin a good choice for less experienced Softcore players (or that's what Ruetoo said). On Corpse Life and Spectres - We use Lithomancers and Stoneskin Flayers as our two Spectres as they have the highest HP% modifiers of any desecrateable monster currently. These are found in Primeval Ruins (i83+ Delve) - Early on, we use Rusty Crushers or Auto-Enforcers from Heist (Repository or Tunnel Contract) as our spectres. - Certain endgame encounters will be easier than others due to the size of the corpse pool in a zone: - e.g. Shaper's Realm has many corpses so your damage will be less due to a diluted corpse pool. - e.g. Maven Invitations have fewer corpses on the desecrate pool, so your damage is significantly amplified. - Uber content, because of it's scaling with Monster Life, mean that VD/DD builds will (damage-wise) perform roughly as well in those encounters as they would in regular endgame encounters. - Spectres die. Please refer to the Zizaran guide on creating a "Spectre Bank". (Ziz please update this video to reflect changes to PvP characters) Levelling - 1-28, use the normal racer Orb of Storms + Frost Bomb + Stormblast Mine setup. Storm Brand can be inserted at level 12 in place of Frost Bomb, especially with the new proximity of Runebinder to Templar. - 28 onwards, Armageddon Brand + Cremation is acceptable. I suggest a Firestorm/Armageddon brand double Spellslinger setup. Links can be found in the Skills section. Mana Flasks help. - You are required to complete the Library quest for Siosa so that you can purchase Frenzy as your attack skill to trigger spellslinger prior to Act 6 - Level 64, Spellslinger's threshold (Gem Level 17) gets reduced to 25% reservation. This will more smoothly enable the use of Spellslinger with VD, DD, and Desecrate. I would personally wait until maps. Playstyle - 1-button build: just click Frenzy. Barrage is a necessary support. Everything else, including Golem, Curses, Guard Skills, and Main skills are triggered. Gloves Crafting Use an Essence of Horror on Shaper Base Gloves, ensuring 1 open suffix. Benchcraft Suffixes Cannot be Changed, then Reforge Crit with Harvest. Crit Multi is guaranteed. Additional Notes - Your Flask setup should be geared defensively outside of Quicksilver and Diamond or Bottled Faith. If you have Hybrid Armour/ES gear, use Granite + Basalt. Otherwise, use Quartz + Jade. - Glorious Vanity not necessary until later. You do not benefit from dual regen in the same way a build running Righteous Fire would. - Grand Spectrums can be substituted for Rare Jewels.
