A tankier version of Strength Stacking, and snapshotting Ambush with the new Rage Vortex of Berserking

This was my final build for the league, and I just wanted to raise awareness of some ideas I think are really strong that few other people seem to be doing from looking at profiles on ninja. Most people know how Strength Stacking generally works, so I'll just go over the big changes I've made. Be aware that Strength Stacking is an expensive archetype, and my character is probably worth about 2000d~ at this point in the league, though I started the character with just a Mageblood and the boots and very little other currency and built it up from there.

POB: https://pobb.in/iJ9N7lxbbQz5 - Concentrated Effect + Berserk Max DPS Setup. Swap Inc AoE for Mapping. Molten Shell Off. Basalt Flask can be swapped out for Elementals depending on content, or a Gold Flask.

Rage Vortex of Berserking + Ambush = Infinite Crit

I'm unsure if this is intended or not but this skill will snapshot Ambush's exertion for the entire duration. I thoroughly tested this using Southbounds in Blood Aqueduct. A 20/23 Ambush provides 36.5% BASE Critical Strike chance on top of your weapon, meaning you probably only need 150%~ increased critical strike chance to cap to 100%, as well as 138% Multi (140% at 21). With a low Warycry cooldown of 3-4 sec and Redblade Banner refilling your Rage, this skill can last for a good 20-30 seconds depending on how the cooldowns line up. It's really not too much of a hassle to Ambush right before casting it. Personally I think this skill has a super smooth playstyle, a better form of Blade Vortex with way bigger AoE, less maintinance and more free time to move or cast utility skills like Totems and Curses. I've built my character around using Ambush, with no Diamond Flask or Crit on my weapon, very little on the tree, only pathing through it to get Multi and a couple of Masteries.

If this tech stays in the game I'm very interested in trying to build low budget league-start friendly versions of this skill. I think it has a lot of potential.

War Bringer vs Rage Generation from a Charm/TWWT As far as I can tell RVoB does not Snapshot the War Bringer 50% more Exertion. I'm not 100% sure on this but couldn't think of a good way to test conclusively. Tooltips do not update at least, and I couldn't feel the damage increase after doing multiple tries with and without it on bosses.

War Bringer also has the downside of reducing your RVoB uptime by sacrificing Rage, so wouldn't it be nice if you could still generate full Rage instantly without it?

You can thanks to charms, with the "Warcries grant X Rage per 5 Power if you have less than 25 Rage" Charm/TWWT Mod. This allows you to drop War Bringer and take other Ascendancy nodes such as Blitz, or even switch to a Juggernaut if you want to get really tanky.

Most Berserkers are made of Paper

Wisps make things hurt, a lot. Most of the builds I see of this archetype even at top end are rocking maybe 50-80k EHP, even with a Progenesis I wasn't happy with that for this league. I wanted to level to 100 in juiced wisp maps without dying, and dabble in some Valdo's Maps.

Strength Stackers have very poor access to spell suppression, and Spell Block is ruled out by Iron Fortress. To get good spell/elemental mitigation, the best way I could see was by getting high maximum resists.

The popular Forbidden jewels for this archetype seem to be either Ngmahu, Flames Advance to squeeze more strength out of jewels, or the Juggernaut's Undeniable to splash into Accuracy Stacking, both DPS focused options. For some reason, Valako, Storm's Embrace jewels are some of the cheaper Marauder jewels, at only about 15d for the pair.

I've gotten to 90% Maximum Resist thanks to the insanely good charms for this setup with %Strength being a Prefix and +Maximum Fire Resist being a Suffix. I managed to snag two 8/2 charms for about 5d each a few weeks ago, though they now seem to have risen a lot. My TWWT could be better but I never found exactly what I was looking for. Its a good place to get utility like Warcry Rage, Instant leech, and Fortify. Those last two are important extra defensive layers.

For the rest of the max res I've pathed up to Sovereignty to get both the reservation efficiency needed and 20% increased Aura Effect to have Purity of Fire give me 6%. Purity of Fire needs to be at level 23, so a +2 AoE or Aura is needed on either Boots, Helm or Gloves to get there. My Lethal Pride seed also has 5% Str on the Mana nodes at duelist, making taking the mastery there a bit more efficient.

I also have a Megalomaniac with Molten One's Mark for another 2% Max FR, and Enduring Composure for Endurance Charge generation.

And a final 1% Max Res from my chest corruption. I ended up dropping Barbarism because I actually had so much max res I didn't need it anymore after getting the Megalomaniac.

On a lower budget you could get more on the tree from Barbarism, Soul of Steel, Prismatic Skin, and an Armour Mastery, at the cost of some strength.

One other oddity is that I had to put an Abyss Socket in my gloves in order to get Corrupted Blood immunity because I'm using so many unique jewels that are all too expensive to get that corruption on.

Showcase - Silly Valdo's Maps with Wisps

This build definitely wasn't designed for Valdo's and specially not Voided maps, but it can still do some far harder things than just Ubers, the Feared or Simulacrum.

https://youtu.be/lsQEbjy8jaA I wanted to try putting Wisps on The Feared to see how hard it was. This map is Anguish Cramp, the only other notable mods are Monsters Cull at 20% and all monsters are Kitava's Heralds. I killed Chayula, Elder and Shaper fairly cleanly then got impatient trying to finish the last two quick and walked into some slams/lightning calls trying to get too close, kinda sloppy. I would have done more runs to try and get a cleaner kill but it would be a pain to buy a lot more of these maps until getting a high wisp count again. 7300~ Wisps on this one, most of the Feared got 2 colours. These are far far tankier than any mods you could roll on a normal invitation. They die in less than a second in typical high quant Feared invitations for me.

https://youtu.be/FCR5jF_aKlg This is an 8000~ Wisp Arid Secrets Map. It has 3-4 Tormented Spirits in all rares and uniques, Area Contains 3 Gigantic Rogue Exiles, 3 additional packs of four Map Bosses, 50% reduced movement speed, Travel Skills are Disabled, and Unique Monsters have 2 random Shrine Buffs.

I didn't realise before starting this that Travel Skills also disabled Ambush, so my crit was gimped down to like 30% for this map, but I think it shows off the tankyness pretty well. After that first area the map wasn't very dense and these videos are long enough so I cut it off, the rest wasn't very eventful.

Thanks for reading, happy to answer any questions in the comments.
