After watching Empyrian's newest video, I was reminded of world carver and was curious if I could put something together that actually resembled something useful while mapping/bossing.
To catch those interested up, World Carver gloves place a slipstream on the ground once you spend 200 mana with a 4 second cooldown.
If you combine that with Torrent's Reclamation, and Tailwind from Deadeye Ascendent node, you end up with 28% increased action speed.
That got my attention because Gale Force gets you up to 20% action speed alone by increasing Tailwinds effect by 150%, and adding Slipstream + Torrents puts you at 40% increased action speed. And what's more, the only required gear pieces are gloves and belt. This leaves a lot of room open for other pieces of gear to focus on something else, and in my case, I chose to stack int for Mask of the Tribunal cast speed bonuses.
There are, however, a few problems to solve.
1: 4 Second cooldown is way too long to be useful while running around in maps
2: Slipstream needs some serious AoE investment to not feel bad
3: You need to consistently spend 200 mana every 4 (+CDR) seconds
After some testing, I managed to get Slipstream down to ~2-second cooldown with 73% CDR total. As well as 280% AoE. Overall it feels pretty good running around in maps. It can be a little difficult to balance pacing though, as torrent's reclamation wants you to be right on top of the carry, but World Carver wants you to be a bit ahead so they can walk into the Slipstream once it's been placed.
For AoE we use Woke Inc. AoE, as well as taking nearly every AoE node on the north side of the tree, as well as going as far as to consume corpses to get the Necro Ascendent AoE bonus.
For Mana cost, I played around with Vortex initially, but it was just too hard to balance the CDR and mana cost, so I ended up just jacking up the cost of a link skill and calling it a day.
I managed to get ~1300 int giving the carry 52% increased cast speed. This could go higher but I decided to use Perquil's Toe on the amulet because the cost to damage ratio is incomparable vs. a int stacking amulet giving maybe 20% increased cast speed.
As well I also fit Saqawal's Nest as the chest due to it giving 70 all attributes + reservation efficiency + aspect of the avian aura.
So in total, the bot offers:
So in conclusion? I'm not really sure. It was fun to build, but it has limited usefulness due to requiring some pretty specific uniques the way I have it built, so it wouldn't be crazy useful in a league start scenario. As well, most builds that would take advantage of these buffs are already strong enough with just an aurabot, and I would personally put this behind the cursebot in importance.
Regardless, this build does feel very very strong running with a nebulis sparker + aurabot. Running some PoB numbers this over doubles the carry's cast speed which is very important due to how spark works. I'm sure many others could take advantage of this (RIP brands don't benefit from action speed >_>), but really wanted to just put this build out there to see if anyone else had ideas of how to make this build more valuable in a party comp, or just to get others thoughts in general :)
