Hey Exiles, here is my 'special' lazy walking simulator level version w/o Hollow Palm, because I played that way too much for my taste. Well, not really special tho.

I don't think this is the fastes way in general, but for me, as I can just run thru the campain w/o stopping (or thinking). I just leveled a Duelist to Blood Aqueducts Act 9 WITHOUT allocating a single point into the tree, or ascending. Mostly because I'm not sure if I want to go Champ, or Glad. It took me ~4.5h with making clips

I made a few short clips as a proof of concept. I didn't use any skills for the most part, so boss damage is kinda low. But that is to be expect.

- Get (or corrupt yourself) a Rigwald's Crest ring that you can use at level 1 (inc phys damage corruption - took me ~15 trys) and Sidhebreath. Anoint with Ravenous Horde if you got the oils, or pic some other minion stuff. 2. ring will be Blackheart till level 12.

- At level 12 you equip Abberath's boots + Pyre ring (instead of Blackheart). Boots socketed with Ele Prolif + Combustion + Added Cold Damage + Unbound Ailments.

- At 18 you equip Thrillsteal - zoom zoom.

- At 29 you get your next carry item - Chalice of Horrors. Tho it will take till level 38 to automate the Decay with Hextouch. Till than you can just handcast Despair for Rares and Bosses. White and Magic mobs will still die to Abberath's + Wolves.

At Level 38 you switch the gems in your boots to automate the Decay from the shild into Hextouch - Despair - Shield Charge - Faster Attack. Now you just charge and kill white stuff till ~act10. Rares and bosses will need some other form of damage. Magic mobs start to survive at ~level 40-50.

Now, depending on your class there are 3 ways to go.

Summoner:

At level 32 you equip Triad Grip with 4 green to go full frost conversion and keep the Amulet. I would use Vaal Summon Skeletons for boss / rare mobs and maybe Carrion / Stone Golem. Don't go SRS with the amu + gloves. The Conversion is kinda weird. Take 'Acrimony' on the tree, to push Decay damage. Other points just go into your final build. 2. ring could be Kikazaru for life reg and stats.

Top right side of the tree melee / caster:

At level 32 you equip Asenath's gloves for explosions. At this point you need to spec Whispers of Doom for the 2. curse, or it will brick the Hextouch -> Decay shanenigans. An alternativ would be to use the Doedre's ring for the 2. curse, but depending on what skills you use, other rings like Pyre for ignite, (Replica) Tasalio's for ele caster, or Le Heup / Praxis are simply stronger.

Bottom left side of the tree melee:

At level 20 you equip Hrimsorrow gloves and Heatshiver helmet with Tasalio's ring (non replica!) and Prismweave belt along with any phys / ele Claw or Dagger for Spectral Helix - Nightblade - Trinity. Change Auras so Trinity works. If you want to keep Thrillsteel for more speed, you could either go Facebreaker with another skill and w/o weapon, or something like Slitherpinch for mana leech, Flesh and Spirit for Rampage, Great Old One's for impale stuff or at 43 Haemophilia for bleed.
