Hey ya’ll. Here is the other Spark leaguestarter I’ve been working on for 3.22. CI Spark Trickster is built around spell suppression, overleech, and energy shield. It is a niche build when compared to Crit Spark Inquisitor, and I would not recommend this leaguestart for an inexperienced player. However, there’s clearly a niche of players that specifically want this leaguestart, and this video is for you.

If you love the energy shield + suppression based Trickster playstyle, or are simply returning for another go around with Spark, you will definitely enjoy this builds defensive setup. Spark Trickster turns into one of the most satisfying builds I’ve ever played, once it gets going.

Spell-based Trickster does not power spike early, so this is not a ‘meta’ option for a leaguestart and its not meant to be. On league launch, you may even want to be prepared to offset some of the initial difficulty with a pre-kitava, Heist farming strategy. This would be a conservative approach, and it may not be necessary, but it will help guarantee that you can buy the budget set of uniques once you start needing that extra boost of power. A practice run up to maps may not be a bad idea. As for the 3.21 reception of this starter, the players who shared their experience with me had univerally good things to say about their experience, but keep in mind that since they were leaguestarting something they knew was off-meta, they had probably had tempered expectations.

As for the 3.22 changes, I have streamlined the leveling process and I think the initial trees make a bit more sense now. And for 3.22 patch buffs, with the return of Sanctum we will have a much easier time with a crit transition, which was the builds biggest weakness.
