Hey guys. Wander's been my favorite build archetype for a while (first made a non-int stack assassin wander, then rolled an int stack in ritual, and I've done a couple of raider/deadeye wanders since) and with the abyss unique changes I feel it can be done really well on a budget now.
The new shroud of the lightless isn't a 5 link, sure, but throwing Power Siphon into Thunderfist more than makes up for it, especially given the 40% global ele pen I'm currently getting from Shroud. The new bubonic trails also allow us to easily fit grace into our build along with the standard wrath, precision, and HoI auras/herald which adds a pretty substantial amount of tankiness (I will say my flasks are pretty awful, I should be getting more evasion from there). Tecrod's Gaze is also a ridiculously strong unique that easily allows us to hit our crit cap on power siphon, and the new volatility support gem is a massive DPS boost. Mapping's a breeze and map bosses + guardians are pretty much instaphased/killed. I also did maven, UE, shaper, elder, eater, and sirus pretty easily on this build when I had closer to 8m dps (albeit some more survivability) and didn't struggle at all.
The chance to treat enemy monster ele res values as inverted mastery is also a gigantic DPS increase for this. Since I'm not running +1 curse, I'm only using snipers mark (which can easily be automated via mark on hit, I just don't mind casting it myself) and not doing anything about ele res besides pen, which still applies to the inverted values.
I did shell out a few divs yesterday for upgrades (Watcher's Eye, the Cluster Jewel, Amethyst Rings by making up for lost resistances via tattoos) and sacrificed a lot of survivability from inc life/energy shield passives for ~4m dps more but I don't mind glass cannons, and I still don't die too frequently.
The watcher's with precision AS/wrath pen is also a really big upgrade and surprisingly cheap (4-5 divs as of yesterday), and our tree is pretty much perfect for using the +1 power charge tattoo which is a pretty inexpensive DPS boost.
Anyway, wanted to post this here with a little write up in case anyone else didn't feel like making an int stacker but still wanted to Wand. If you've got any questions just ask - I'll also say that part of me wishes I rolled as a deadeye, but tbh Polymath and the ES leech are both pretty damn big boosts to survivability, even with moderate amounts of energy shield.
