Looking to share and optimize my Self-Chill Rolling Magma Inquisitor. I have played POE for quite a few years, but this is the first time I’ve tried to create my own build, so any help is greatly appreciated! My goal for the next league is to take down all Ubers and Sim30 on a reasonable budget (30-40 div) while having a fun mapping experience.

Build Basics:
Rolling Magma with more Chains and the Inevitability jewel can do a lot of damage! Slower projectile support can cause a single Orb to hit a boss 2 or 3 times, effectively doubling or tripling POB DPS. We basically want to hit the boss with the 4th, 5th, and 6th bounce if possible. We are also hitting ourselves with Forbidden rite + trigger wand + lethe shade for 100% chill uptime.
I was inspired by Mathil’s Deadeye Rolling Magma (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3o2KJsUE_0), Jungroan’s Self-Chill Spark Inquisitor (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4_z5zD8FFg), and this build guide https://odealo.com/articles/rolling-magma-inquisitor-build.
With Inquisitor, I lose +1 Chain and Tailwind/Gale force, but gain:
- Smooth leveling w/ elemental overload & left side of tree, and a more straightforward tree.
- Inevitable Judgment lets me ignore resists, so I don’t have to link or worry about fire pen support, ele weakness/scorch, etc. Hoping to use those openings for more DPS.
- Consecrated ground for tankiness/regen
Areas I want to improve:
- Fixing attributes
- Increasing DPS
- About 35% chaos res
- Increased movespeed, maybe haste is enough though
Things I like:
- Low life petrified blood//lethe shade/consecrated ground defensive layer, enabling pain attunement is a huge damage multiplier as it says MORE damage.
- Gloomfang, I think it’s a really cool unique. However, its interaction with Inevitability is a little suboptimal.
- Skill maps really well, especially with Herald of Ash.
- Self-chill looks really fun
Defensive Layers:
- ~30k EHP in the Budget setup
- Defensive Auras: Determination, Defiance Banner, Petrified blood, Vitality
- Consecrated Ground/Pious Path
- Gloomfang Leech
- 100% Spell Suppression
- Lethe Shade
- Ghost Dance + Large ES Pool
Questions:
- Should I add another damage setup, like CoC or Brands?
- Am I running the right flasks? (This one was tough)
- Any Totems or Golems worth adding?
- Is the Conviction of Power Ascendancy a better forbidden flame/flesh choice than Augury of Penitence? POB shows them giving about the same DPS, Conviction is better against phys damage but Augury is better against elemental damage.
- Should I add in some +max res/melding of the flesh?
- Do my cluster jewels look right? I think there might be more optimal clusters, I did some research and that was the best I could find.
- Wand or scepter? Should I be dual-wielding?
- Glancing Blows worth adding?
