OFFENSE
Scale a single, very large poison with Viper strike of the Mamba, crit multi + Perfect Agony, and Low Tolerance clusters. Prolif this large poison with Bino's Kitchen Knife or Master toxicist to delete packs.
We use Despair to reduce chaos resists, Alchemist's mark to create poisoned ground relative to our poison, and Withering Step to auto apply a large amount of wither for more chaos damage taken. Ambush gives us a huge amount of bonus crit multi (for perfect agony) that we can use if we need a bigger poison vs tankier enemies.
DEFENSE
Because we can use Bino's for prolif and can use clusters as our main scaling mechanic you could theoretically play any class. I'm playing Pathfinder and stacking armour and ele resists from flasks and flask effect as well as Iron Reflexes. I'm not a huge fan of this especially because I'm doing expedition which frequently has the mod "Monsters Overwhelm 100% of Physical Reduction". There also are a decent number of rares with this mod just randomly in maps. I will likely switch to phys>ele conversion.
GEAR
- Bino's Kitchen Knife - 10c * 2. A solid weapon that has the poison prolif mod. If you're playing pathfinder you could replace these with rare daggers/claws with high phys hit or several dot multi mods.
- Doedre's Scorn - 1 alc. Flat added chaos damage but otherwise just used for levelling. Replace with whatever you like.
- Dendrobate - 20c for a 5L, 1D for a 6L. This is far from our best option but I had a 6L available. Both poison mods are not very strong due to how much poison stacking we already have. A defensive unique like Lightning Coil or an offensive unique like The Covenant would both be better.
- Doedre's Damning - 1c. Extra curse and some resists.
- Dusktoe - 1c. Levelling unique. Flat chaos damage and 50% chaos res because we're pathfinder
- Ungil's Harmony - 1c. Helps us hit crit cap. Crit damage is irrelevant to us but this helps us scale Perfect Agony without too much investment.
PROBLEMS/NOTES
- Build feels stretched for points. You need crit chance for Perfect Agony consistency, accuracy for hits (or rares with hits cannot be evaded), poison scaling through clusters and wheels. And that's just for offenses. You might be better dropping Perfect Agony and strictly using Low Tolerance clusters for damage scaling. You can find examples of this on poe ninja like this one.
- If you're playing pathfinder Tinctures can be quite good. A Pestilent tincture with ~300% increased damage for poisons on non-poisoned enemies can be scaled for a lot of extra damage.
