Context:
- This build is a modification of Jungroan's 3.19 self-chill Spark Inquisitor
- I was curious about the Arcane Surge changes for 3.21, and if they could be abused given that Spark spends a ton of mana and could easily hit the Arcane surge mana cap
- With the Crucible mechanic, this build could be pushed even further
POB issues:
- POB doesn't seem to be correctly calculating Arcane Surge's new 10-25% more spell damage with supported skills. Even with 110% arcane surge effect, it's showing 19% and 42% more spell damage. It should show 52% (25 * 110%) and 42% (20% from ascendency * 110%). I assume that they are multiplicative with each other rather than additive, so I added 28% more spell damage in the config. (1.19 * 1.28 = 1.52)
Build:
- Offense: 8mil dps per projectile. Estimate 100+ mil dps assuming 14x as a multiple on collisions from projectiles
- Defense
- Spell suppression capped
- 1200 life recovery / sec
- Freeze immune
- Frost shield, Arctic armor, Flesh and Stone Sand stance (not sure about this), Sigil of power
Mechanics:
- FR in wand triggers chill every 4 secs for 4 secs (chill effect ranges from 15-30%)
- I have enough mana regen to disable an aura before an encounter, then cast divine blessing, then re-enable the aura. It's a little annoying but the build has enough dmg to only be needed for big encounters
Potential upgrades
- Drop conductivity/whispers if I can acquire forbidden jewels for Inevitable Judgment
Other things I considered:
- Pathing down to mark mastery for frenzy charges + more projectile speed + free up annoint. Ultimately this build relies on Lethe Shade so it was just too many points
EDIT: I guess I'm getting a lot of downvotes for having mistakes in a build posted. Wonderful community.
Some POB changes:
- Change 3 points on tree to add more skill effect duration. This gives us 4.19s duration on Spark, which means ~6 hits per cast
- Adjusted POB spell damage correction to 5% more spell dmg
- Reduced mana spent recently to 500
- Removed arctic armour / flesh and sand so no need to put wrath on a blessing. IMO I would much rather have the additional tankiness and toggle auras for when you need a dps boost, but w/e.
- After all these changes, it goes down to 31 mil dps. Definitely enough for mapping but not as high obviously
