3.17 .v2
SKILL-TREE:
You have some options! Also REMEMBER to CHECK the different TREE's at the bottom left corner in the POB Skill-Tree!
1) You have the option of swapping alira for +2 points once you're comfortable with your resists.
2) You have the option of dropping certain semi-weak masteries and re-allocate those points.
An example of "semi-weak" masteries could be 2% es regen or light radius (I got used to the dark...)
Chaos resist is an optional group of notables, you might not care about if you're in SC.
3) SAFEGUARD notable is optional and might be dropped after you've got your es-on-block shield, however the area provides 18% spellblock!
4) 150% critical mastery vs full health enemies mastery is useful while leveling/mapping and before you're in really good end-game gear.
5) While leveling, the Lightning Mastery - non-crit dmg is lucky, is very useful, as you still have low crit chance at that point.
6) There are multiple skill-trees to scale your damage as your currency grows, but the End-Game (Sirus, Shaper, Uber Elder, Maven, Feared) HAS been cleared with the basic 3.17 alira skill-tree)
ATTRIBUTES:
There are a multitude of ways to fix any attribute requirements, that's why I haven't picked a single way in the POB as it totally depends on the gear
that each individual player ends up with. Also the other options of tree's has STR and DEX through pathing.
Usually the easiest place for STR/DEX are belts, boots and rings.
Aisling is also a great way of getting stats as she can deliver 70 stats in ONE mod. (35/35 str/dex)
Temporary sources for stats are the skill-tree +30 nodes and/or bench crafting any open suffixes you have.
SUPPORT GEM CHOICE:
Swift Assembly vs Cluster Traps -- Much like the last ascendancy, this is a matter of preference.
Personally I find myself enjoying swift assembly since 3.17 changes, rather than cluster traps.
ELIGHTEN SUPPORT GEM:
You do not NEED this gem unless you are trying to make room for one more aura that isn't represented in the POB.
MASTERIES:
REMEMBER to change masteries later on when you go from life build to full es! e.g. 30 life per trap trigger.
ASCENDANCIES:
Some players prefer chain reaction, some prefer explosives - try both, stick with what you prefer.
My most recent character if you want to look at my setup/links, is found here:
https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/oestergreen/characters
Name of the character is DissentXTV_Scourge
Remember!: Cluster setup is your LAST points towards lvl 100 and Jewel sockets are your 2nd to last points, so around lvl 86+.
Note:
Note: If you lack trap throw-speed, remember it's craftable on multiple different items and/or you can pickup Expeditious Munitions in the tree. (Throw speed exist on jewels, shaper gloves, essence of zeal crafted belts and bench craft belts)
Note: Many skillpoints are adjustable based on your own currency/budget and what items you happen to drop/obtain.
Note: I league-start my build always and I only go for jewel sockets when im in the 86+ and can afford decent jewels. Before that, you're better off investing those points into early trap damage nodes and/or survival.
Note: At the bottom of the pob skilltree, you can select a level 50 tree, to see how you *could* level - you can also type !quickguide in my twitch chat to get a jpeg with all instructions for leveling.
Around lvl 65-68 is usually a good spot for switching to full ES with CI (or low life if you can afford a shavs). Getting CHEAP 1alch/1chaos energy shield pieces is easy as they often are far far cheaper than equivalent life gear.
Note: REMEMBER to pickup Zealot's Oath as soon as you go low life or ci, else your pyromaniac ascendancy won't do nothing for you.
