Overview
Soulwrest with Fresh meat support - good or bait? is a Path of Exile Necromancer build by Notsomebeans, made for the Ancestor league (3.22). It is centered on Spirit Offering and plays as a minion, intelligence, spell, duration archetype. In Path of Building it reaches 7.18M DPS with 5.86K effective HP, 3.3K life, 473 energy shield. Suited for: Mapping. Key uniques include Soulwrest, The Devouring Diadem, Darkness Enthroned, Corpsewalker.
Notsomebeans's Notes
I am planning on starting a soulwrest build this league. Soulwrest is a favourite of mine and it seems like it gained 3 big tools:
-
fresh meat support is incredibly powerful and could be what makes crit minions finally viable. But its condition is very difficult to meet.
-
returning projectiles support is very strong and gives us another good damage link for phantasms when the build has historically had some issues with filling out its supports. can easily swap between it and GMP for clear/ST. The build will use snipers mark so it should be very consistent.
-
guardians blessing is a free aura, provided you can handle the gem socket issue which these builds have historically had lots of trouble with.
soulwrest is usually enabled either through disciple of kitava or cwc+desecrate+offering. cwc offers much higher output but isn't a passive generation for general mapping. i much prefer DoK for this reason.
refreshing your phantasms enough will be the big roadblock for the build. My current pob gets my phantasm duration to 34.5 seconds, so fresh meat will last 3.5 seconds on each phantasm. With 21 phantasms, you need to summon 6 phantasms a second to get 100% uptime. DoK and the recovery mastery gives you 1.33 phantasms a second, and feast of flesh from diadem can give you ~2 a second (not 100% uptime but reasonable uptime), so you need to make up for the remaining 2.66, which could be done by manually casting desecrate/spirit offering when you need the single target boost.
Anyone else experimenting with this/thoughts on keeping fresh meat active? Here's my current Pob, curious to hear from others what they think
