POE 3.18 READY - VAAL ARC League Starter for Beginners of Path of Exile | Sentinel League

Gyro's VAAL ARC Witch Build for PoE 3.17 -- SIEGE OF THE ATLAS League ----- DISCLAIMER -------------- THIS IS AN UNFINISHED "BUILD IN TRANSITION"... If you're planning to use it as a league starter, please watch the video introducing and explaining it better than these notes would do. Currently, this POB includes the key changes I'm planning to make to the build compared to what it used to be in the previous 3.16 Scourge League. Generally, if you're unfamiliar with my builds and POBs, please understand that I produce content for casuals and beginners of PoE, not high-end min-maxing experts. If you're one of those min-maxers, you'll probably be disappointed. If you're a beginner - AND bothered to watch my explanation video on YouTube - chances are, you'll like it! :) ----- LEVELING ------------------- Just use Freezing Pulse + Summon Zombie to slowly get you to level 12 where things will get interesting as you pick up Arc. I recommend checking Vaal map areas and hope that Vaal Arc drops for you, OR just buy the gem on the community market (e.g. pathofexile.com/trade) My video details the order in which to progress around the Skill Tree, so I highly recommend you to watch it, as this POB contains only end-game trees (that should be quite indicative of what's intended anyway...) ----- DEFENSES ------------------ This build is not relying on Life pool, since most boss slams would kill you through thousands of life points anyway... Instead, we go for high block and spell block, mobility and Bastion of Elements ascendancy node. ----- FLASKS ---------------------- Are not optimised at all, which still works fine for my early end game with this build... The only call-out here is that you absolutely need flasks that remove bleeding and corrupted blood. As those DOTs will kill you very quickly if you don't remove them. ----- GEAR ------------------------- You can start the build with just yellow rare gear, but I recommend that you check out the community market for cheap lightning staff like I'm using, and the rings. Respite would be very expensive, so you might want to skip that to keep the build more budget-friendly.
