Main mechanics of this build: Crucible introduced a node on staffs that provides 2.5% mana regen at the cost of reservation efficiency. As this build is utilizing Archmage, the downside is negligible.

This build boasts a 2.66 Shock effect modifier from Lightning Mastery, allowing a full 50% shock against even Uber Pinnacle bosses.

As the aura being ran is Clarity, we can make use of Clarity boosting Watcher's Eyes, which tend to be quite cheap, in addition to Sublime Vision which will give hefty bonuses to both Arcane Surge and Mana regen.

Mana costs and Mana spent per second can also be finely tuned via Archmage quality (and Divergent quality which reduces cost) to ensure that there is always a net gain in Mana despite what you spend.
