POB (Subject to change)

Introduction

I always wanted to play Artillery Ballistas with chieftain, after the buffs (2 additional totems at gem level 22), now is the time.

Ascendancy

The reason I went chieftain is because this is a bossing league and I wanted something tanky and safe also with nerfs to multiple totems to hierophant it is even more appealing.

Tasalio: 15% damage taken as fire is HUGE, and 100 fire res for easy gearing in a league starting environment.

Valako: Damage and defense with the enduring cry and immortal to proc the 15% more damage.

Arohngui: AOE, Inmune to reflect for easy early league mapping , defense and little bit of extra damage.

Tukohama: 2% leech for more defense.

The reason I didn't grab Ngamahu and Hinekora is because even if it is more damage it is less defenses and also I don't like the inconsistency of Ngamahu. (If the build lacks damage this is something I have to test).

Passive tree choices

Elemental Overload: The easiest choice for damage for elemental builds in the left side of the tree

Call to Arms: Instant warcry's to constantly proc Valako.

Blood Magic: A little bit controversial, I like it for a league start and for bossing since more HP and don't have any mana issues and a free aura.

Ancestral Bond: Extra Totem, don't need to do any damage ourselves.

Skills setups

Artillery Ballista - Multiple Totems - Elemental Damage with Attacks - Vicious Projectiles - Added Fire damage ( or damage on full life) - Slower Projectiles ( or Faster Attacks /Fire pen)

Cast when damage taken (lvl 10) - Immortal Call (lvl 12) - Increased duration - Endurincry (manually proc in left click)

Frenzy - Flammability - Increased Critical Strikes - Hextouch

Wave of Conviction - Combustion + Flame dash (Or blink Arrow) - Second Wind

Gear

Bow: High physical dps bow with at least +1 fire, socketed gems or bow gems to get Artillery Ballista to 22

Chest: Kaoms more defense and some damage.

Quiver: Signal Fire

Rest: Rares with physical as extra fire.

Leveling (Not tested)

-Create a witch and level it to for grab flamewall and arcane surge

-With Chieftain us Fireball + Arcane Surge to level 4

-Use Holy Flame totem + added fire damge + Combustion and fireball with arcane surge

- At level 12 grab searing bond + combustion with HFT

- Craft a fire damage wand with an alteration + ruby ring and magic wand or scepter as soon as possible.

-Be on the look out for high physical dps bows.

-Switch to Artillery ballista after library 2 reds 1 green or 2 greens 1 red Artillery ballista + Elemental damage with Attacks + Added Fire Damage or Vicious projectiles.

Anointment

Watchtowers (extra totem and movement speed)

Possible Problems and doubts.

-Low damage overall, not sure of how good is going to scale to the endgame for sure to red maps but don't have any idea after that.

- Greater multiple projectiles, don't know if this is more damage or less.

Conclusion

If you have any experience with Artillery Ballistas or have any input in the interactions with gems and gear or how to scale this build to the endgame please let me know.

Also if you know how much this dps do in POB since I'm not sure if the POB calculates the damage properly.
