I am fully acknowledge that the showcasing character is not on a cheap budget. However, in parallel comparison, Storm Call actually stands out remarkably amongst all the lightning spells that are viable to archmage builds. I can't do Uber Eater this fast when I switch to Arc or Spark. And none of other spells gets absurd AoE like this. The damage is only slightly off Crackling Lance. But the latter is a shit spell to play and we all know that. On top of that, I've been running It with less duration. It can easily outstrip Crackling Lance if I swap to intensity or arcane surge if I just want to show off the damage.

The AoE scales perfectly with Hierophant's ascendancy. It's kind of a shame that most archmage builds don't even realize how it can be utilized with a proper spell like this, and let its potential completely go to waste.
