Hello guys, nothing new here but I wanted to show the only build I played this league.
I'm literally a sucker for chain explosions, for me PoE wouldn't be PoE without them, so whenever I can I do play a skill which revolves around them.
The concept is pretty straight-forward, Herald of thunder with The Annihilating Light unique staff, the 2 Storm's Secret rings and the Calamitious Visions unique jewel will reach decent level of damage so it won't be just a clear skill but a single target one as well.
Now, let's go in depth with pros and cons:
Pro:
FUN (for me, at least. The chain explosions are one of the most satisfying thing ever)
FAST - perma Quicksilver and perma Phase Run + Onslaught on kill will make you very zoomy.
Cons:
SQUISHY - since you cannot play auras when equipping Calamitous Visions you can rely on very few defensive options. I decided to go with 30/30 block, the obvious Doryian Timeless Jewels and Enduring Composure with automated Immortal Call, I'm chaos res capped and I'm under the perpetual effect of a Topaz Flask.
Important to note: the build felt 10 times tankier once I've anointed my amulet with %life on kill and grabbed on the tree the node for the %ES on kill. The gain on kill mechanic is probably one of the strongest defense layer while mapping and sometimes undervalued by the community.
DAMAGE CAPPED - It's not a build you can spend shitton of currency on it. And even if you do the gains for every exalted spent are so little they are not worth it. But I decided to gradually increase the gear until every other upgrade would cost me 100's of exalts (I think that for the build I spent like 120-150EX + the Mageblood).
That's it, as I said it's nothing new but wanted to share. Enjoy!
