this right here is my budget quirk build. i really wanted to make an int stacker but didnt have the currency to pull it of and i had an inquisitor laying around so i decided to go to work. i loved kinetic bolt of fragmentation but i couldnt get the damage out of it in POB, untill i realised the damage shown is for 1 projectile (we fire 8) but there is no way we can decently reliably hit all 8 now can we?
Yes we can. Another thing why i like POE so much is trigger gems and crafts like trigger socketed spells. i slapped on bodyswap and spellslinger and bought a int stack wand, an amulet with 140 all attributes and started regretting my whole inquisitor tree (litterally). this resulted in the question: mom can we have flickerstrike? no, we have flickerstrike at home and she came up with this weird teleporting million projectile spamming inquisitor. those 8 projectiles do 579.892 dps, time 8 since bodyswap always puts us inside the enemy when there are no corspes around. resulting in 579.892 x 8= 4.639.136 initial hit dps. those 8 projectiles split on uniques into 24. adding 24 proj x 579.892 x 0.39 =5.427.789 (returning projectiles dont do full damage hence the 0.39) they will basically all hit since we are positioned inside the boss. any corpse we happen to blow up is free dps. Combined this is over 10 million DPS with unoptimized gear.
i have run a 4k wisp t16 map yesterday and got through it without dying, ofcourse this build isnt top of the line and the damage shown here is burst dps. but it leaves room for plenty of other improvements (stacker builds can basically scale inifinitely)
why inquisitor, i had one. the benefit? consecrated ground applies damage taken and we can ignore enemy resistances and scale crit chance with strength and int, simultaneously scale spell damage with iron will which is being applied x2.5 through kinetic bolts inherent modifiers. since we had so much strenth and int we can actually make use of garb of the ephermal so we dont take extra crit damage and have a reliable source of 50% MORE elemental damage dealt. 20% less elemental damage taken. We are always stationary, take fire damage as lightning so we dont have to mind fire res through the amulet. (around 450 strength a 30% roll of all attributes on greatwolf beats the 140 all stats) which is a break point in the build you have to aim for.
