concept

hey all. this is my take on a ralakesh's impatience build. ever since its release and even more after the buff (no more charge losing sounds) i've wanted to build around an all charges stacking build. the boots provide minimum=maximum charges whenever you stand still, losing everything when you move. by equipping "badge of the brotherhood" amulet and taking the slayer ascendancy "masterful form" we have maximum power = frenzy = endurance charges. with void battery, malachais loop, helmet corruption and nodes on the tree we have a total of 10 charges each.

offense

how to turn all those charges into damage? since power charges provide so much crit chance already, i decided to go champion for impale specialization with the new "entroppic devastation" gloves that makes spells impale on crit. with exactly 1 point on the tree we get 100% crit chance. now we are of course locked into going physical spells and damage, but that's not a problem, since champion provides aura effect for pride and war banner and is close to nodes for even more aura effect on enemies.

in the end "seismic trap" was my skill of choice, because of the support gem "charged traps". not only does it provide as much crit multi as "increased crit damage", with our frenzy charges it doubles trap throwing speed and thus trap activation. some might already know about the interaction with the timeless jewel exclusive keystone "inner conviction", but i've decided against it for defense reasons.

for the same reason i chose not to go for arn's anguish belt, although that would be a huge DPS upgrade. endurance charges are, again, too important for defense.

the final ingredients for DPS is stacking skill effect duration, cooldown recovery speed and of the aforementioned offensive auras.

defense

those endurance charges alone give 40% physical damage reduction and 40% all elemental resistance. since we already have increased duration, "enduring cry" with 50% increased buff effect and cooldown recovery becomes a permanent and instant tool for another 30% physical damage reduction and 30% all elemental resistance. with precursors emblems we can up the physical reduction to 90%. beware that these reductions apply to all damage taken, both hit and degen and is completey independent from armour. to top it off i chose to wear the body armour "replica restless ward" to gain a huge amount of regen while being able to ignore its downside.

by equipping the helmet "willclash" we immediately gain 50% spell block with power charges. since we want to be shock immune anyway we take the skill "tempest shield" to go up to the full 75%. by getting the right "precursors emblem" mods we can go up to 75% attack block, too. this stat appears on both power and frenzy charges variations. since blocking is not considered as a hit for "ghost dance", we take that keystone for some recovery after failing to block.

the final elemental resistances come from our flasks, which are pseudo permanent thanks to the timeless exclusive keystone "the traitor" (shoutout to captainlance9). the ease of gearing and defenses it provides vastly outranks the damage potential of inner conviction in my opinion.

defense against ailments is the biggest weakpoint here. we are immune to shock and freeze from pantheon, but chill and ignite are only reduced in duration or effect. all other ailments have to be tanked unfortunately...

conclusion

i haven't tested the build yet because of RL obligations and no time to play. what do you guys think? did i overlook anything? do you have ideas on how to potentially improve the build?
