I'm on crap internet for a bit yet, and started a zombie character that I feel like re-rolling when I have a bit more currency. So my theory for this is to go with a Chaos Golem build (which has a natural chaos aoe around it) with Infernal Legion. Of course, Elementalist has a node to make golems immune to elemental damage, so no worrying about the degen.
Slap the Chaos golem into a Femur of the Saints.
Storm Brand in the body with Curse on Hit with three curses (Despair is the best curse for damage scaling here, secondary can go with defensive curses if need be, but I'll run flammability and elemental weakness). Storm Brand procs EE for better damage with Infernal Legion. Extra curses from Vixen's Entrapment and Whispers of Doom. With Spiritual Aid we can slap on 19k decay DPS for just a little bit extra.
Have a Stone and Lightning Golem. They add to damage from Primordial Harmony jewels, and also gives a bit of life regen and cast speed (feels nice for Storm Brand and Lightning Warp). Stick two Carnage Chieftain Spectres in for frenzy charges (link with stone and lightning golem and minion life)
Reserve Skitterbots and Malevolence, stick an enduring cry somewhere in there because it's great now.
Uses "The Agnostic Keystone (Maximum ES is 0, while not on full life Sacrifice 20% of Mana per second to recover that much life)." Nice bit of safety net since our mana expenditures are low.
The chaos golem should do at least 140k per second with infernal legion, and at least 150k with it's own chaos aura. Add in about 19k decay damage from storm brand, the two chaos golems dealing about 25k dps each with their regular attacks. Probably won't instant delete juiced t16 maps, but should still be a nice, smooth "Lazy" build. I know I'm not the greatest at building characters, but let me know what ya'll think.
tl;dr
Golems do aoe DoT, big curses
