TLDR: Very high dps, mid survivability, slow mapclear
Hi, Shmabir here!
I am currently building my Explode totem trickster which is of course copying a lot of ideas from previous posters on this build. I wanted to make this post because I couldn't find many youtube videos /guides showing the high end of the build. Maybe this post can help some of you decide which totem explode archetype to go for.
I went the cold conversion hit route since it has the highest potential damage (of what I have seen). The build is good at bossing and such, although it is a very slow mapper.
It makes use of the standard Bow explode totem setup which is then converted with "Phys to Cold" mods from Skilltree (40%), Watcher's eye (35%+) and bow T1 crucible node (25%). I do the usual scaling with Phys as extra cold and Heatshiver. I utilize Enhance, Empower and Ashes of the Stars to stack as much HP for my devouring totem as possible. The result is a very very big cold hit/hits and the damage is honestly kinda nuts.
I tried to make it a bit more tanky with defensive curses, incorporating Grace, ailment immunity and capped chaos res. This is mostly because I wanted to avoid deaths in Simulacrum. This all is of course made possible by Mageblood, but could probably be done with a rare belt and boots.
As you can see in the videos posted below it has very high damage but I am currently not sure how to calculate the dps beside maybe doing it manually by timing boss kills and so on.
I am doing Simulacrum 30 in around 30 min, often deathless. The video below shows a 6 reward wave 30. A weakness of the builds is the resists which all sit at 75 and I do occasionally get 1-shot by big elemental/chaos crits in the later waves of Simulacrum. Maybe someone has a brilliant way to incorporate some max resists?
My rating of the build: 6/10, Good damage, decent survivability but expensive and map clear is very slow.
Price of my setup: 100-130 divs without the Mageblood
