Gorilla Pop - The name I chose for my Impale & Bleed hybrid Champion slam build.

With Resolute Technique, you never miss. With Unwavering Stance, you never get stunned. The Impaler provides the bulk of the base damage in combination with Master of Metal and Starforge. Slam those crooked teeth straight and give your enemies a big fat smile as they bleed to death!

Enemies also explode into a cloud of dust when paired with Sublime Vision and the Pride aura. This goes well with all the generic Physical Damage scaling the build has on top of the Bleed and Impale scaling.

Ryslatha's Coil and Volatility Support, in conjunction with the Physical Mastery, add quite a high damage variance, so keep on slamming. Keep your attack rate under ~1.7 attacks per second (best around 1.6) to nicely overlap your Ruthless Blows with Fist of War slams. Before entering a boss arena, you can unsocket your Leap Slam of Groundbreaking gem and slam twice. This makes the next slam a Ruthless Blow.

My Mercenary has a Haste aura, which is not accounted for in the PoB. You can add more attack speed where possible, as long as you stay under the above defined threshold. I had to remove some myself because I was over said threshold.

For mitigation, the build uses a combination of Ward, Life Leech, max resists, ailment avoidance, Steelskin, Stun, enemy damage conversion, decent Life pool, stun immunity, defensive Pantheon, Adrenaline safeguard (so called "circuit breaker"), damage taken as, so on and so forth.
