This is my league starter Necro build for Affliction. I've been playing pretty much exclusively minion builds since Delve league. I've put together successfully, almost every SRS variation out there (I'm sure there's more variations that I haven't thought of, but every conversions at least - Fire/cold/light/chaos/phys/pop).
This is built around the current new corps spectres auras. IMO, this is getting nerfed/removed next league. Just insane how powerful these corpse's are. I've also decided to stack some MF gear, since this is THE league of MF. Surely, I've sacrificed some damage in-lieu of MF gear, but it still dishes out incredible damage. You can still absolutely do pinnacles/ubers with this build, just need to switch out some of the MF gear. While this is not a true MF build, I'm sitting at around 50% iiq / 170% iir. Definitely noticeable when running abyss, legion, and beyond loot explosions. I could get a biscos and drop the current amulet, use empower instead to maintain the spectres. With a biscos, it'll put this build at around 100% iiq / 340% iir, without sacrificing much, if anything at all maybe a point in +30 dex.
POB numbers are just estimated, as some of the auras from the new corps are not pinpoint accurate. If fully invested into DPS, you can reach 30+ mil dps. Essentially, after playing ALL of the Necro SRS builds variations, they ALL reach 30-40 mil DPS with investment.
WHY Lightning - I wanted a MF build this league. The issue with MF minions, is that minion builds are very gear dependent. With the Popular poison variation, your almost required to use covenant, severed/united, amanamu. With fire/cold/lightning, the scaling is easier with +2 wands, +2 helms, and gives more room to slot in MF gear. You can easily run fire/cold/lightning pick of your choice with this build, but I think lightning prevails due to the new spectres, especially, Perfect spirit of fortune. It gives a permanent ~ L40 wrath, and hits with lightning are lucky. This alone frees up the most important dps aura slot. The corps I use for the build are:
Perfect Spirit of Fortune ~ lvl40+ wrath, light hits are lucky.
Perfect Guardian Turtle ~ lvl28 Determination
Perfect Warlord ~ lvl28 Vitality, perm 3 endurance charges
Perfect Hulking Miscreation ~ 30% inc att speed, 100% inc damage of srs
I went with Life/ES mix, Aegis Aurora/Armor. Can Max block with 0 atlas investment with the use of charms. 650 life regen / 200es regen. Shock immune. 4 perm endurance charges. Perm fortification. 90% phys dam reduct. Perm armor flasks (32k) with instilling orbs and either reduce charges or inc duration. This combination feels incredibly tanky, but at the expense of "alot of buttons" playstyle. I self cast everything, but you can always gear for more automated offering/curse set up. With MF gear, Im right around 16-19 mil dps, which is enough to run T16 juiced/whisp maps. You do absolutely need 2 movement skills, to offset Greed embrace. It still feels zoomy with shield charge/flame dash.
There are still much I need to upgrade on this build. L4 enlight, Awaken Multistrike, biscos, empower, abyss jewels, 3 mod watchers eye... etc. but as-is right now, it feels good, hence why I haven't upgraded these items, and excels at most content - I say MOST, bc there are just better builds for Valdo's, boss rushing, etc.
Great league starter - just like any other Necro SRS builds, you can fly through campaign with minimal effort on a 4L. Upgrade gear in early maps incrementally until you can afford higher budget gear. I crafted all of the cluster jewels, gloves, and abyss jewels. This build (non-MF) works on less than 50c of investment. All you need to get it going in maps is a 5L, minion wand, minion rings. That alone will carry you to red maps. I would estimate my current investment at around 50 div. My starting atlas was essence, expedition, strongbox, alter. I re-spec'd into WP, abyss, beyond, deli for the MF loot explosions. Literally printing money with this set up.
